FAQs

You are based in Scotland... but do you travel?

I love to travel! I shoot weddings all over the UK and have been lucky enough to shoot weddings in Brazil, Spain & Sweden... so YES!

Do we get digital copies of our wedding images?

Yes. You will receive a download code which will allow you to download high res and low res images direct from your online private gallery. You will have standard printing rights which will allow you to print your images in your preferred format as many times as you wish! I do, however, retain the copyright, which means you are unable to sell your images on or modify them in anyway.

How soon after our wedding will we receive our images?

I aim to process your images within 8-10 weeks of your wedding day. Each image is individually edited so it can take time. They will be uploaded to your private password protected online gallery for you to view. This timescale does not include any prints and wedding albums which will require your image selection so therefore can take a little longer.

How long will we have access to our private online gallery?

Your password protected online gallery will expire 6 months after your wedding date.

Will I need to sign a contract?

Yes. I ask all clients to sign a simple contract at the time of booking. If you are concerned about anything, please do get in touch.

Will I need to pay a deposit?

Yes, I ask all couples to pay a “hold the date” deposit which is £500 for full-day packages and £300 for half-day packages.

Why should I consider a PRE-WEDDING SHOOT?

It is the best way to get to know me and how I work so that on your day you can totally relax and know exactly what to expect. It’s also a great opportunity to get some great photos of you both in a special location (and not in your wedding get-up!).

Do you do family group shots?

I do, however I try to keep these to a minimum so you can enjoy your day (without getting sore cheeks from smiling for too long!). I recommend no longer than 20 minutes for group shots, which is about 8-10 groups (depending on numbers) - I can advise you on this before your day. Always remember to speak to me about your requirements and build in time for these in your schedule.

We just want natural shots, do I have to pose with my partner for some photos, I hate getting my photo taken!

It’s always good to get some beautiful shots of just you and your partner on the day of your wedding. And although you may not like the idea of doing them, it’s actually lovely to take time out away from your guests, to relax a little and take stock of your wedding day so far. I always encourage couples to keep talking throughout our photo session and I would never put you in any awkward position that doesn’t look or feel right to you...in fact I like to keep them as natural as possible giving you only a little direction to help make the perfect portrait. You might even end up enjoying it... most couples do!

Were not sure if we want an album just yet...

That’s totally fine. I keep images on file for up to 12 months after your day, so you can order at any point then.

Id like an album for my parents but not the same as ours, can you do that?

Yes. I can individually design smaller parent albums if you require them. Contact me for prices.

Do you work with another photographer on the day?

On your wedding day there will be me with my cameras! When you book Lisa Devine Photography, that’s who you get. I manage to shoot everything I need to on the day without any stress.  However there is an option of booking a talented second shooter to assist me for a small fee. Just let me know if you’d like to do this.

I have another question thats not listed here...
