365/7 project – week four

A week late, I know but I did take this pic last week whilst up at my sisters for a family 'birthday' meal. Josh got a guitar for his Christmas and despite not being able to play it yet he likes pretending. I caught him in this pose in between his 'elvis' like impressions (guitar and arms swinging all over the place!).

I should mention this is him stood in front of his new 'blue wall' in his room - Josh chose the colour himself!

It's not technically a great photo, but I really like it.

josh, my sister & the bump - a family portrait

Just a quick post of one of my photos from last weekend's photo sessions. This one is of my sister, my nephew and my new (unborn) niece or nephew!

My sister is due in April and she wanted to get some pics of Josh and the bump before it's too late (and whilst she was feeling brave enough to show off her bump). I'm really excited about meeting my new neice or nephew...when Josh was born I lived down south so missed all the drama (and there was drama!) but I've been around to see this bump grow and to hear all Josh's bizarre inquiries as he tries to get his head round the whole 'baby' thing.

I will no doubt post some photos of the 'new addition' in April - 'can't wait to meet 'it'.

365/7 project - week three (last train to giggleswick)

This weekend Paul and I headed to my adopted hometown of Manchester to visit one of my best friends, Vicky and her gorgeous son, Thomas.

Gone are the days we would hit the town till the wee hours (well almost!)...we now mostly favour catching up over a bottle of vino and some tasty food of the takeaway variety. In order to work up an appetite we ventured out to a garden centre in Cheshire which has it's own miniature steam train - perfect for 'Thomas the Tank Engine' obsessed Thomas!

These are just a few photos from our train ride (yes we all went on it...Paul particularly enjoyed it) as well as Thomas's 'post-train-ride ice-cream' (even though it was -3 outside!).
